1. Introduction

Nubod Edtech Private Limited ("we," "our," or "us"), a company incorporated in India, operates the **ParikshaFlow** mobile application (the "App") and the website [www.nubod.in](https://www.nubod.in).

We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our users (including students, educators, and parents). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, process, and safeguard your data when you use our educational products, interactive assessment generation, and AI-powered handwritten paper grading solutions.

By registering or using the ParikshaFlow platform, you explicitly consent to the data practices outlined in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Information We Collect

We collect variables of information to deliver our services, handle secure subscription checkouts, and train custom machine learning modules:

2.1 Personal Registration Information

To register or complete verification checkouts, you directly submit:

  • Phone Numbers: Verified using Secure OTP (One-Time Password) mechanisms.
  • Profile Settings: Student Grade level, Class Stream selection, and Preferred Syllabus (e.g. CBSE/State Boards).
  • Account Identifiers: Authentication records provided by Google Firebase Auth.

2.2 Educational Scans & Submissions

Our app processes student-uploaded documents which include handwritten answer sheets, question papers, and marking schemes in PDF or JPEG formats. This data is transmitted to our servers to perform structural AI parsing.

2.3 Usage & Diagnostics Data

We track interaction timestamps, click analytics, and response latency to diagnose service interruptions and design cleaner navigational layouts.

3. Camera & Storage Permissions

To make the assessment workflow seamless, ParikshaFlow requests native operating system permissions:

How Camera & Storage Access is Used:

Access is limited exclusively to capture written pages or import offline mock test PDFs. The app does not access your media galleries in the background, nor does it capture photo/video streams outside your active paper submission workflow.

You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. However, disabling them will limit your ability to scan handwritten papers.

4. How We Use Your Data

We process your data strictly under educational use-cases to deliver modern interactive workflows:

  • 1
AI-Powered Handwritten GradingVLM (Vision-Language Models) read handwritten scans, mapping them against correct answers to output red-pen annotations and corrections.
  • 2
Bayesian Mastery Tracking (IRT)We aggregate historical quiz and mock test scores to build dynamic cognitive mastery graphs. This helps diagnose individual learning gaps.
  • 3
Assessment Generation & Notes CachingGenerates custom formative and summative practice sheets based on weak concepts and stores your personalized revision cards.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted API and database partners. They operate under strict data-processing instructions and are forbidden from using your data for advertisement campaigns:

Google Firebase ServicesManages OTP login verification, push notifications, and dynamic client configs securely.
Google Cloud Vision & Gemini AIPerforms OCR (text extraction) and cognitive evaluations on uploaded handwritten answers.
Razorpay SDKExecutes secure payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We do not store complete banking or card details on our local database.
Vercel HostingDeploys the static next.js landing site and routes flutter web app segments under modern SSL encryptions.

6. Data Security & Retention

We store and host our platform database on Google Cloud Platform (Firestore). Data security is maintained through active rulesets:

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted both in transit (using SSL/TLS protocol) and at rest.
  • Access Controls: Firebase Security Rules prevent users from fetching documents belonging to other student accounts.
  • Retention Policy: We retain account records, graded reports, and learning statistics as long as the user account remains active.

7. Children's Privacy

As an educational exam preparation tool, we do serve school students under the age of 18 (and under 13). We operate under strict parental/school guidelines:

For students under 13, registrations must be completed with the direct involvement or consent of a parent, legal guardian, or school administrator. If we learn that we have unintentionally collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate verification, we will purge the corresponding records from our active servers.

8. Data Deletion Rights

We respect your right to control your digital footprint. If you decide to stop using ParikshaFlow, you can request full account deletion:
